Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Megharoutes Travel, we are dedicated to executing smooth, unforgettable journeys across Northeast India. We understand that unexpected situations arise necessitating a change in travel plans. Below are the definitive structural guidelines regarding our tour cancellations:
Standard Cancellation Schedule:
- Cancellations over 30 days before departure: 50% of the booking advance will be returned.
- Cancellations within 15 to 30 days of departure: 30% of the booking advance will be returned.
- Cancellations under 15 days from departure: The initial booking advance is strictly non-refundable.
Crucial Booking Stipulations:
- All official cancellation requests must be submitted directly to our office in writing via email.
- Approved refund balances will be credited back to the original source account within 14 business days of formal confirmation.
- In occurrences of unexpected force majeure events (such as severe landslides, sudden cloudbursts, political strikes, or revised state/tribal permit restrictions), our team retains the authority to modify or cancel operational itineraries for your safety. In these specific crisis instances, alternate trip credits may be offered, but direct cash refunds will not apply.
